The Carolina Panthers kept busy with some roster moves on Tuesday.
As announced late this morning, guard Chandler Zavala has been designated to return to practice. The third-year offensive lineman was placed on injured reserve after sustaining a calf injury in the team's Week 12 loss to the San Francisco 49ers.

Zavala will now look to make a second return from the IR this season. He previously missed four games, beginning in Week 5, due to a knee injury.
All five of Zavala's starts in 2025 have come at right guard. Per Pro Football Focus, the 2023 fourth-round pick has allowed nine pressures over 124 opportunities this season, leading to a 32.4 pass-blocking grade.
The 26-year-old will have 21 days to be moved back to the active roster. That window, of course, is also contingent on how far the Panthers advance in the playoffs.
