Oklahoma lost two wide receivers to the transfer portal on New Year's Eve as shortly after wideout KJ Daniels' news broke, Josiah Martin's exit came down, as well.
Martin did not play for the Sooners in 2025 as he redshirted upon arriving from California-Berkeley along with running back Jaydn Ott. As a freshman with the Bears, Martin caught 12 passes for 112 yards. With Oklahoma returning seven of its top nine receivers from the depth chart next season, it would have been tough for Martin to crack the rotation in 2026.

Martin and Daniels exited via the portal while Deion Burks, the team's second leading receiver, exhausted his eligibility. As did Keontez Lewis, who finished third among wide receivers, behind Burks and Isaiah Sategna in catches, yards and touchdowns.
Oklahoma has lost 18 players to the transfer portal through Wednesday afternoon, including four wide receivers. Jayden Gibson's intentions became clear in early December and the Jakeb Snyder news came down on Tuesday.
The Sooners were eliminated in the College Football Playoff earlier in December in the first round by Alabama. The loss concluded a 10-3 season, tied for Oklahoma's best since 2019.
