No. 20 Nebraska women’s basketball (12-1, 1-1) continued conference play on Monday afternoon, hosting No. 17 USC (10-3, 2-0) for a top-25 matchup. The Huskers' first big clash of the year came up short, though, suffering a 74-66 defeat to the Trojans.
USC took control of the game in the middle two quarters, outscoring Nebraska 53-32 in that stretch. This put the Huskers in a 13-point deficit heading into the fourth. Though they outscored the Trojans in the final period, USC held too big a lead.
