Nashville Predators' Erik Haula named to Finland's 2026 Olympics roster

Final rosters for men's ice hockey at the 2026 Olympics are being announced and the Nashville Predators have one more player headed to Italy in February.

Forward Erik Haula has been named to Finland's final roster, making him the fourth Nashville player going to the 2026 Olympics.

Juuse Saros (Finland), Filip Forsberg (Sweden) and Roman Josi (Switzerland) have already been named to Olympics rosters.

Finland, Sweden, and Switzerland are three of the 12 teams participating in the Olympics in 2026. The others include Canada, United States, Slovakia, Germany, Latvia, Czechia, Italy, France, and Denmark.

This is the first time since 2014 that NHL players have been cleared to participate in the Olympics. The tournament will start with preliminary games on Feb. 11 with the gold medal game scheduled for Feb. 22.

Haula, a native of Pori, Finland, has appeared in 70 games for Finland. In 57 games as a junior hockey player, he scored 24 goals and 34 assists. He was a member of Finland's World Championship roster that won the silver medal in 2014.

Saros, 30, has appeared in 12 games for Finland, most recently at the World Championship in 2025, where he led Finland to a third place finish in Group A. Saros also started for Finland's gold medal team at the World Junior Championship in 2014.

Josi, 35, has played in 86 games for Switzerland, scoring 13 goals and 37 assists over nine years of international play. His last international appearance was at the IIHF's World Championship in 2024, where he led Switzerland to a silver medal.

Forsberg, 31, has made 103 appearances for Sweden, scoring 53 goals and 38 asssts. He last played for Sweden in the 4 Nations Face-Off, recording zero points in three games.
