MSU football to reportedly host 1,000-yard rusher transfer prospect

Michigan Stat football will reportedly host a 1,000 yard rusher in the transfer portal for a visit on Monday.

UConn transfer running back Cam Edwards will reportedly visit Michigan State on Monday, according to Tim Verghese of Rivals. He will also be reportedly visiting Louisville on Sunday.

Edwards ran for 1,240 yards and 15 touchdowns this past season with the Huskies. He also had 187 receiving yards and one touchdown this year. For his career, he's ran for 2,690 yards and 27 touchdowns.

Edwards is listed as a three-star prospect in 247Sports' rating system for transfer portal prospects. He ranks as the No. 49 running back in the portal and is a top 500 overall prospect in the portal.

Edwards will have one year of eligibility remaining.

The transfer portal officially opened on Friday and will remain open through January 16.
