Michigan State football has re-extended an offer to a big-time athlete prospect currently committed to an ACC school.
Tristin Hughes of Rocky River, Ohio announced on Friday that he has been re-offered by the new Michigan State football coaching staff. Hughes posted on his social media X account to announce this notable re-offer from the Spartans, which included a picture of Michigan State head coach Pat Fitzgerald in person for the re-offer.

Hughes was initially offered by the previous Michigan State coaching staff in November. He is currently committed to Syracuse.
Hughes is a four-star prospect, with a recruiting rating of 89.07 in 247Sports' composite system. He ranks as the No. 22 athlete and No. 13 player from Ohio in the 2027 class. He is also listed as the No. 367 overall prospect in the class, according to the 247Sports composite system.
Michigan State is one of more than 10 schools to extend an offer to Hughes, according to 247Sports. He also holds offers from Syracuse, Maryland, Purdue, Wisconsin, Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan, Kent State, Toledo, Miami (OH) and UMass.
