Mike Vrabel reveals if Patriots plan on playing starters in Week 18

The New England Patriots are expected to play all of their healthy players in Sunday's regular-season finale against the Miami Dolphins, per head coach Mike Vrabel.

If the Denver Broncos lose to the Los Angeles Chargers, the Patriots would get the No. 1 seed in the AFC with a win over the Dolphins. It's an unlikely scenario considering the Chargers are expected to rest their starters, including quarterback Justin Herbert.

But there is still something for the Patriots to play for with the No. 2 seed. If they beat the Dolphins, they would be guaranteed two home games in the postseason.

There is hope that left tackle Will Campbell will return for the game. He has been a full participant at practice throughout the week after missing the previous four games with an MCL sprain. Wideout Kayshon Boutte looks to be on his way back from concussion protocol, while left guard Jared Wilson has been a non-participant at practice.

The Dolphins were also missing several key players at practice on Thursday, including De'Von Achane, Jordyn Brooks, Minkah Fitzpatrick and Darren Waller. One has to wonder what their approach to the finale will look like and whether they could be down key players in the matchup.
