Hearts manager Derek McInnes has been speaking about the club's new right-back and other transfer issues. Here's a summary of what he had to say...
New signing Jordi Altena, who will arrive from RKC Waalwijk on Thursday, has been tracked by the club for a number of months.
Hearts had to act quickly or they would have lost out on signing the 22-year-old right-back.
Altena should be availble for selection on Saturday, when Hearts host Livingston.
Prospective winger signing Islam Chesnokov will arrive in Scotland on Friday but it may be a couple of weeks before he is included in the squad.
Conversations have taken place with "a few" who may leave the club in January, either on loan or permanently.
"Nobody has asked the question" about goalkeeper Craig Gordon, who turns 43 on Wednesday, leaving on loan in the upcoming transfer window.
McInnes describes the award of an OBE to the club's honorary president Ann Budge as " a great recognition".
