LSU football added another transfer portal player on the defensive side of the ball. Former Clemson defensive tackle Stephiylan Green announced his commitment to LSU on Tuesday. Green was LSU's second defensive pickup of the day, coming just a few hours after LSU earned the commitment of ex-Boise State safety Ty Benefield.
Green provides a needed boost to LSU's interior defensive line. The Tigers return Dominick McKinley and welcome a talented group of true freshmen, but Green provides experience.

Green played three years at Clemson. In that span, he recorded 24 pressures and made 17 stops. He posted solid PFF grades in 2024 and 2025. Green has the size and talent to play in the SEC and will look for a true breakout year under new LSU defensive line coach Sterling Lucas.
Look for Green to compete for a starting role alongside McKinley in the fall.
Five-star freshmen Lamar Brown and Richard Anderson should also fight for immediate playing time. With the return of LSU DC Blake Baker, the Tigers will once again hope to be one of the best defenses in the SEC.
