Isaac Brown has had a change of heart.
Three days after announcing his plan to enter the transfer portal, the running back will instead stay with Louisville football, per Sunday night reports. Cardinals general manager Vince Marrow alluded to having secured Brown with a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, that had a picture of an airplane with a caption that said, "Coming home with the main package! L's up!"
Brown's return will be a huge boost for the Cardinals' running backs room. Despite an injury-riddled sophomore season, the Florida native was still the team's leading rusher with 884 yards and seven touchdowns on 101 carries in nine games played. That included averaging 10.2 yards per carry with two touchdowns in the team's 27-22 Boca Raton Bowl victory over Toledo on Dec. 23.

Duke Watson is still in the transfer portal but the Cardinals are expected to return Keyjuan Brown, Braxton Jennings and Jamarice Wilder to the running backs room, which also includes 2026 signee Lekhy Thompkins.
