TECUMSEH — The Tecumseh Indians welcomed the Blissfield Royals to town Tuesday night for a Lenawee County boys basketball clash. Tecumseh led from stem to stern Tuesday night, leading by as much as 33 points at one point as the Indians rolled to the 79-46 win.

What Happened?
Tecumseh raced out of the tip, leading Blissfield from the early going, outscoring Blissfield 16-8 in the first quarter and 23-5 in the second quarter to build a 42-13 lead at the half. Blissfield battled back to take the third quarter at 18-14, however the Indians put things away with a 26-15 fourth quarter to find the final score of 79-46.

Gabe Abbott, Tecumseh – Abbott tied for the lead in scoring with 19 points to go along with five assists and four rebounds.
Skyler Kimple, Blissfield – Kimple tied for the most points scored in the game with 19 points, the only Royal in double figures.
Zeke Schmidt, Tecumseh – Schmidt had a solid day down low, recording 15 points to go along with seven rebounds to lead the team
Brady Bills, Blissfield – Bills finished the night with eight points in the Royals effort
Charlie Palmer, Tecumseh – Palmer added 12 points, four assists, three steals, and seven rebounds.
Lamar Longabaugh, Tecumseh – Longabaugh finished Tuesday night with 10 points and five rebounds.

With the win Tecumseh improves to 6-3 with their next action coming Friday when they host Adrian in yet another Lenawee County clash

Adrian 61, Williamston 44
The Adrian Maples improved to 7-2 with a 61-44 win over Williamston on Tuesday

Jaxson Francis, Adrian – What a night by Francis who was dominant in all phases of the game. Francis not only poured in an astounding 36 points, but he also notched a double-double with 10 rebounds. In addition, Francis just missed a rare triple-double, coming up with seven steals.
Calvin Polley, Adrian – Polley had a solid all-around game, filling the box score with seven points, six rebounds, and six assists.

Lamont McKinney, Adrian – McKinney finished the night with eight points and six rebounds to help Adrian move to 7-2.
Adrian will be back in action Friday when they travel to Tecumseh.
Britton Deerfield 61, Sand Creek 59
Both teams returned from the holiday break to face off in a Lenawee County coverage area boys hoops clash, and it was Britton Deerfield taking the nailbiter of a win, defeating Sand Creek 61-59.
Sand Creek held a small 12-11 lead after one before outscoring the Patriots 18-12 in the second to build a 30-23 lead at the half. Britton Deerfield, behind the play of Alex Anspasch, turned things on in the third quarter, outscoring Sand Creek 23-11 to erase the deficit, giving Britton Deerfield the 46-41 lead after three quarters. Sand Creek did their best, outscoring the Patriots 18-15 in the fourth quarter, however they came up just short as Britton Deerfield took the nailbiter.

Alex Anspach, Britton Deerfield – Britton’s big man, Anspach, finished the night with a tie for the team high in points with 17 points, including 12 in the second half.

Gavin Vorhees, Sand Creek – Vorhees had a big night scoring 21 points, finishing with nine buckets from the field and a 3 for 3 effort at the free throw line.
Matthew Cadieux, Britton Deerfield – Cadieux also helped the Patriots to victory, scoring in double figures with 14 points.
Andon Sutherland, Sand Creek – Sutherland finished with 15 points to help the Aggies offensive effort
Liem Roe, Britton Deerfield – Roe finished in a tie with Anspach for most points on the Patriots with 17, 12 of which came from the 3-point line.
Landon Carmody, Sand Creek – Carmody was the only other Aggie to finish in double figures, ending the night with 10 points.

Sand Creek falls to 1-6 overall while Britton Deerfield improves to 2-4.

Hudson 81, Addison 44
Hudson returned to the court for the first time since Dec. 18 to take on Lenawee County coverage foe Addison. It was all Hudson from the start as the Tigers outscored Addison 16-9 after one quarter and led 39-19 at the half. Hudson went on to outscore Addison 25-14 and 17-11 in the second half to find the final score of 81-44.

Qwaden Wallace, Hudson – Wallace had a big night, pouring in a team high 35 points including five three pointers and 10 2-point field goals.

Carter Kirkland, Hudson – Kirkland was one of three Hudson players to hit double figures with 12 points scored in the win.
Aiden Tedora, Hudson – Tedora helped the Tigers cause with 12 points in the winning effort.
Addison did not report any stats for the game versus Hudson.
Hudson is now 5-3 overall and will return to action Friday when it travels to Clinton. Addison meanwhile falls to 0-6 and will see action Wednesday at Michigan Center and Friday at home versus Hanover-Horton.
