With the 2025 NFL season nearing completion, the Pro Football Hall of Fame is close to announcing their inductees for the 2026 class.
On Tuesday, the Pro Football Hall of Fame trimmed down their list of 26 semifinalists to 15 finalists, and former San Francisco 49ers running back Frank Gore is among those moving on to the next round of voting.

Gore, 42, was a third-round pick of the 49ers in the 2005 NFL draft out of Miami. He played 10 seasons in San Francisco, making five Pro Bowls and one All-Pro team while rushing for 11,073 yards and 64 touchdowns on 4.5 yards per carry.
After leaving the 49ers, Gore played six more seasons in the league, split between the Indianapolis Colts, Miami Dolphins, Buffalo Bills and New York Jets.
Gore currently ranks third all-time in rushing yards behind Hall of Famers Emmitt Smith and Walter Payton.
The full 2026 Hall of Fame Class will be announced at the NFL Honors in February.
