Like Blake Corum, Kyren Williams also suffered an ankle injury during the Los Angeles Rams’ loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Monday night. Unlike Corum, Williams managed to return to the game.
He might have a previous surgery to thank for that.

During his postgame media session, Williams told reporters that if not for the fact that he had tightrope surgery in the past, he might be done for the 2025 season.
He was evaluated for a high-ankle sprain in the fourth quarter, per Adam Grosbard of the LA Daily News, but was cleared to return.
“Saved my season,” Williams said of his past surgery.
Williams had a terrific game against the Falcons, rushing for 92 yards on only 13 carries. He also caught three passes for 38 yards, going over 100 yards from scrimmage in the loss. The Rams need him healthy for the playoffs and even though he was able to stay in the game against Atlanta, it might be in his best interest to rest him until the wild-card round.
