Samuel Lobé said Christian Kofane’s playing style reminds him of Samuel Eto’o as the 19-year-old Bayer Leverkusen striker helped Cameroon to a comeback win over Mozambique. The Canal + analyst and co-commentator was also a forward in his playing days in France’s top two divisions.
"He (Kofane) reminds me of Eto’o in his playing style,” said Lobé about yesterday’s matchwinner. “He is a talented young player. He will go far if he keeps up this momentum."

Kofane scored the winner in the second-half against Mozambique with a powerful hit from the outside of the box. He should’ve had an assist to his name as well, but Karl Etta Eyong failed to hit the target with one of the worst misses of the tournament.
Among several individual and team honours, Eto’o is the all-time leading goal scorer in the African Cup of Nations. He’s now the president of the Cameroonian Football Federation. The five-time winners will face South Africa in the Round of 16 on Sunday.
