Here's a wellness check. There's only one more game on the Philadelphia Eagles' schedule. That comes on Sunday. The NFL Playoffs begin a week later. It appears a decision has been made regarding a question we have asked for the past couple of weeks. The starters will rest rather than play in Week 18.
That has bothered several people. There are questions about this team's offensive readiness. It seems like a better idea to let the A-team get in as many snaps as possible.

Head coach Nick Sirianni and his staff believe otherwise. Unfortunately, Kevin Patullo's recent comments won't evoke confidence if you are lacking any.
Kevin Patullo's recent comments reframe uneasy feelings about the Eagles' offense.
Regardless of where this road takes us or when it ends, questions will be asked about offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo. The big ones revolve around whether or not he returns. He'll be under the microscope during the postseason because everyone is well aware of one thing. If the Eagles falter, it probably won't be because of their defense.
Coach Patullo's unit is this team's obvious Achilles heel. There is seemingly no excuse for it, given the offensive weaponry Howie Roseman has pieced together.

Philadelphia's top assistants met with the media on Tuesday ahead of the regular-season finale. Here's some fair warning. You aren't going to like what he said.
"I mean, there's a couple plays where we were just running it to run it."
Wait! What?
Much of the conversation this season has centered on play calling and whether coaches are putting players in the best position to win. That being said, this statement is almost horrifying. This offense isn't good enough to throw away opportunities to score.
So, 'the tournament' (as Bill Parcells used to call it) is set to begin. The Eagles will host a Wild Card Game, and we'll see what happens. One thing gives us hope. We wondered if Nick Foles' Birds could hold up their end. Remember that? Things turned out well there. Maybe this iteration of the Eagles has a few surprises up their sleeves.
