Javonnie Gibson enters transfer portal. How it affects OU football’s depth chart

NORMAN — Following Oklahoma's two transfer wide receiver additions, Javonnie Gibson plans to enter the portal, On3 reported Tuesday.

Gibson was a breakout player during the Sooners' spring camp last year before he broke his leg. He appeared in nine games for OU last season, recording 18 catches for 199 yards and a touchdown.

The Opelousas, Louisiana, native has one year of eligibility remaining and is a former FCS All-American.

The Sooners have landed transfer portal commitments from receivers Trell Harris (Virginia) and Parker Livingstone (Texas).

Zion Kearney is also entering the transfer portal, CBS Sports reported Monday night.
