As some of you have probably done during your free time, we've spent hours digging through Philadelphia Eagles footage. It's easy to rave over A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, but this organization has seen some memorable receiving tandems.
The DeSean Jackson-Jeremy Maclin tandem was special, as were the Harold Jackson-Ben Hawkins and Harold Carmichael-Charlie Smith tandems. Fred Barnett and Calvin Williams definitely deserve a mention.

Here's where we go out on a limb. Tell us if we're wrong. Jason Avant can be placed in any era of Eagles football, and he'd work. He was a nice complement to Jackson and Maclin. He'd be equally as formidable next to Brown and Smith.
Avant looks like he can still play a few snaps, but he's hung the cleats up and joined the Philadelphia media. Recently, he offered a glowing take on Vic Fangio's star-studded defense.
Jason Avant tips his cap to the Eagles' defense after a great game vs. the Bills on the road.
"Josh Allen looked like a normal quarterback."
Those were Jason Avant's words during a Monday afternoon sit-down with the 94 WIP-FM Midday Show. Joe Giglio, Hugh Douglas, and the former slot receiver were still raving over an impressive and much-needed Eagles win in Orchard Park at the expense of the Buffalo Bills.
It's hard to deny what he said when looking at the stat line. Philadelphia's defense forced a turnover. They held the Bills to six third-down conversions on 15 attempts. They held Buffalo's rushing attack, led by the great James Cook, to 120 yards and sacked Allen five times for a loss of 51 yards.

This one will be remembered for a missed two-point conversion attempt. The Eagles' defense made Allen uncomfortable enough to miss on his final throw. This also serves as some fuel for the postseason looming.
Look at how well this defense did versus the reigning league MVP. If the offense can piece four quarters together, the Eagles' playoff run can be a deep one.
