Herbert went undrafted this past April out of Oregon and signed with the Jaguars as a UDFA. He spent training camp and the preseason with Jacksonville and has been on the practice squad for the entire season.

According to the Jaguars' team site, Herbert played in 41 games at Oregon, catching 31 passes for 388 yards with four touchdowns.

In recent weeks, the Jaguars have had three tight ends active on game days. Joining Brenton Strange and Quintin Morris has been Johnny Mundt. Hunter Long has been inactive.

If available on Sunday, Herbert will provide help or depth on special teams.
