Iowa football to host transfer portal DB Anthony Hawkins

Iowa football has its first transfer portal visitor lined up.

Per On3's Pete Nakos, Iowa will welcome in former Villanova defensive back Anthony Hawkins on a visit this weekend. 247Sports' Chris Hummer reports that Hawkins will visit Iowa this Saturday and Sunday (Jan. 3-4) before a Jan. 4-5 visit to Kentucky and a Jan. 6 visit to Big Ten rival Wisconsin.

A 6-foot-3, 195-pound redshirt freshman defensive back, Hawkins started 15 games for Villanova this past season, totaling 59 tackles, 11 passes defensed, four tackles for loss, two interceptions and one forced fumble.
