Inside the Shocking Downward Spiral of Former Michigan Coach-Turned-Accused Felon Sherrone Moore

1 week ago 2

Famed Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore — last seen on camera coaching the team he helped to win the national championship just two years ago — shocked the world when he showed up in a police video caged in a jail cell.

In the recording, the married 39-year-old father of three appears in white prison garb in a tiny cell during his arraignment on charges of felony home invasion and misdemeanor stalking and breaking and entering — after he allegedly threatened to kill himself in the home of the longtime mistress who exposed his salacious double life, according to New York Post.

The mind-bending image came just four days after Moore’s executive assistant and secret lover Paige Shiver dumped him, then confirmed months-long rumors of their inappropriate affair to school brass. Shiver previously raised eyebrows by seeing her salary hiked by 70 percent while working for Moore.

Moore was fired two days later, forfeiting his whopping $30 million contract and derailing his career as one of the most successful figures in college sports.

Hours after he was sacked by the prestigious program, a desperate 911 call was made by Shiver claiming the crazed coach barged into her home and threatened to kill them both.

“I’m gonna kill myself, I’m gonna make you watch, my blood is on your hands, you ruined my life,” Moore allegedly told her, prosecutors said.

Moore fled, driving to a church parking lot in nearby Saline, Mich., where cops tackled the famous coach, dragging him away in handcuffs.

Moore reportedly posted $25,000 bail and entered a not guilty plea ahead of his next court appearance on Jan. 22 but must wear a GPS-tracking bracelet until then, per SB Nation.

Shocking reports from New York Post have since emerged of his sordid online exploits, including dalliances with OnlyFans models, including one woman who claimed he tried to tempt her into an orgy with two other models following Michigan’s 2024 national championship victory.

He joins a rogues’ gallery of disgraced college coaches caught up in scandal.

In 2010, married basketball coach Rick Pitino blemished his run at Louisville after he admitted to having sex with the girlfriend of his equipment manager in an Italian restaurant, then paying $3,000 for her abortion.

A year later, Penn State defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky was busted for sexually abusing kids. He’s now serving a prison sentence of 30 to 60 years.

Sports journalist Franz Lidz tells Globe, “Moore’s fall is breathtaking, but he’s hardly alone.”

“Top coaches often have great success because of their enormous egos and sense of invincibility,” he explained. “But those same traits, at times, make them feel like they can get away with anything!”
