Indiana State will have a Mr. Football in its quarterback room next season.
Former Gibson Southern star and 2021 Indiana Football Brady Allen signed with Indiana State on Thursday. Allen was a four-star prospect coming out of high school, where he passed for 11,918 career yards and 149 touchdowns for his career and led Gibson Southern to a Class 3A state championship as a senior.

Allen started his college career at Purdue, appearing in one game (against Indiana State). He then followed coach Jeff Brohm to Louisville. In eight games overall in his college career, he is 10-for-16 passing for 90 yards and one touchdown.

Indiana State is coming off a 3-9 season under coach Curt Mallory. Keegan Patterson, a redshirt junior, was the Sycamores’ top quarterback, completing 57% of his passes for 1,558 yards and 12 touchdowns with seven interceptions. Patterson entered the transfer portal in late December.
Allen has two years of eligibility remaining. He was granted a medical redshirt for the 2023 season. Allen passed for 4,253 yards as a senior at Gibson Southern.
