Jacksonville Jaguars' defensive tackle Arik Armstead is playing for more than just a win in Sunday's Week 18 game against Tennessee.
According to NFL.com, if Armstead reaches 7.0 sacks on the season, he will earn a $1 million incentive based on his contract. Currently sitting at 5.5 sacks on the year, Armstead needs 1.5 more.

The last time Armstead recorded 1.5 or more sacks in a game came in 2023, when he was with the San Francisco 49ers.
The Titans have allowed 55 sacks this season, which is the fourth-most in football. However, bringing down quarterback Cam Ward is no easy task, either, with his ability to evade pressure.
In Armstead's first year with the Jaguars in 2024, he played mostly defensive end. This year, he was moved back to defensive tackle and has been much more productive.
On the season, Armstead has logged 47 quarterback pressures to go along with his 5.5 sacks, according to PFF.
It's not a coincidence that as Armstead's production picked up out of the bye week, so did the overall disruption from the Jaguars' pass rush.

Having a steady interior presence that can generate regular push does wonders for an entire defense.
A win on Sunday by the Jaguars would secure the AFC South title for them. A 1.5 sack performance from Armstead would help secure that victory.
