The Chargers have clinched a playoff berth but will be a wild-card team after their Week 17 loss to the Texans. They cannot win the AFC West, which the Broncos clinched after Los Angeles' game.
Heading into Week 18, the Bolts are positioned as the No. 6 seed in the AFC wild-card round. Their exact seed depends on outcomes this upcoming weekend, particularly their game at Denver and results involving Houston and the Bills.

With that, here are the six teams they could face in the wild-card round, which begins two weeks from now.
Denver Broncos
If the Chargers end up as the No. 6 seed, they could face their divisional foe for a second consecutive week. This happens if the Broncos lose to the Bolts, the Patriots beat the Dolphins, the Jaguars beat the Titans, and the Texans beat the Colts.
Houston Texans
This scenario is unlikely. But if the Chargers end up with the No. 6 seed, they would play the AFC South winner. The Texans can win the division if they beat the Colts and the Jaguars lose to the Titans. The Bolts would also have to win their game.

Jacksonville Jaguars
This is the more likely scenario, should the Chargers get the No. 6 seed. The Jaguars have a great chance of defeating Tennessee and securing the division and the No. 3 seed.
New England Patriots
Facing the Patriots is the most likely outcome for the Chargers. If New England wins or ties against the Dolphins, the Bills beat the Jets, and Los Angeles loses to the Broncos, the Patriots will be the No. 2 seed and the Bolts the No. 7 seed, setting up a rematch of the 2019 Divisional Round.
Baltimore Ravens/Pittsburgh Steelers
If the Chargers somehow get the No. 5 seed, they would face the AFC North winner, which will either be the Ravens or the Steelers. Baltimore and Pittsburgh face off on Sunday Night Football. The only way Los Angeles can get the fifth seed is if they beat the Broncos and the Texans lose to the Colts. L.A. holds the tiebreaker edge over the Bills, leapfrogging them regardless of Buffalo's result.
