For the first time in a long time, the Chicago Bears draft position in the first round of next year's draft is not the top priority or focus for the franchise or their fanbase.
As Chicago pulled away with the No. 2 seed, that sets them up with a wild-card matchup against the Green Bay Packers, they also saw the first placement of their first-round selection announced for the 2026 NFL draft. Now, if the Bears are to advance and continue on in the playoffs, their draft selection will change. But as the 2025 regular season concluded, Chicago is currently set to pick in a slot they've not picked often at: No. 25 selection.

It is quite the improvement for the Bears, just two seasons removed from having two first-round picks in which they selected quarterback Caleb Williams and wide receiver Rome Odunze in 2024. Both Williams and Odunze have established themselves as franchise cornerstones moving forward, with head coach Ben Johnson getting the most out of his two young star playmakers.
