Former top Colorado wide receiver heads to a Big 12 rival from portal

6 days ago 2

Colorado's 2025 offense was below average, but without a doubt, the Buffs' top playmaker was starting wide receiver Omarion Miller. Miller opted not to stick around in Boulder for his senior season, instead entering the transfer portal.

Miller has now found his new home, committing to Arizona State as one of the top players and arguably the No. 1 receiver in the portal. The 6-foot-2 receiver will have one year of eligibility left and is coming off the best season of his career. He finished with 45 receptions for 808 yards and eight touchdowns, which all led the Buffs.

Deion Sanders' program will face off against Miller's Sun Devils in Tempe next season, adding more juice to what should already be an intense matchup.

The move to ASU is somewhat questionable for Miller, as the Sun Devils are seen at the same level, at least in prestige, as Colorado. It is also doubtful that Kenny Dillingham's program could have offered Miller more money than the Buffs. Still, coming off a 3-9 season, Arizona State's recent history of winning seasons clearly played a factor in Miller's decision.

Sanders and Colorado have already added a receiver in this transfer portal window, with Miami (OH) slot receiver Kam Perry committing to the Buffs over the weekend.
