Miami Dolphins legend Richmond Webb didn't reach the finalist stage for the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Class of 2026, the Hall announced Tuesday morning.
Webb, 58, reached the semifinalist stage in the last two years, but hasn't reached the finalist stage. There are three offensive linemen among the finalists and just one offensive tackle: Willie Anderson.
Anderson has been a finalist five times, despite having less career accolades than Webb. The latter was a seven-time Pro Bowler while protecting Dan Marino's blindside. Anderson earned only four Pro Bowl nods and spent his career at right tackle.

Webb, who retired in 2002, will soon qualify as a senior nominee as a player who is more than 25 years removed from his playing career. A group called the Seniors Blue-Ribbon Committee is responsible for recommending as many as three senior candidates for the Hall of Fame per year.
Among the 15 modern-era players who are finalists this year, running back Frank Gore is the only one who spent time as a member of the Dolphins. During the 2018 season, Gore ran for 722 yards and also had 124 receiving yards and a touchdown.
