Did Jake Paul really win the first two rounds of his fight against Anthony Joshua?
That’s what Paul claimed after the heavyweight bout, but a copy of the three judges’ scorecards obtained by MMA Fighting reveal otherwise.

Paul won zero rounds before getting knocked out in Round 6 of the heavyweight fight on Dec. 19 in Miami, according to the official scorecards published by MMA Fighting.
In addition to winning all six rounds, Joshua won the fifth and six rounds by scores of 10-7 after knocking down Paul twice in each of those rounds. All three judges had the fight scored 60-50 before it ended by stoppage. But Paul indicated he saw the early rounds differently.
“Yeah,” he said the day after the fight, “I was doing good.’’

But not good enough to win a single round based on the scorecards submitted by the three judges: David Sutherland, Steven Weisfeld and Michael Tate.

The Florida Athletic Commission did not respond to a public records request submitted by USA TODAY Sports on Dec. 26 for a copy of the scorecards.
