Cowboys list of '26 home, away opponents set, will face 8 playoff teams

The Dallas Cowboys had to wait until the final whistle of the regular season before their 2026 fates were known. Playing early in the day on Sunday, the Cowboys lost their finale to finish 7-9-1 and in second place in the NFC East. Having to wait until the late games finished, Dallas learned they will pick No. 12 in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft.

And they had to wait until the completion of the insane Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers match to find out the final opponent on their 2026 schedule. Three touchdowns, a missed extra point and finally a missed field goal in the final 3:49 sends the Steelers to the playoffs and places the Ravens as the No. 2 team in their division.

The Cowboys don't play the entire AFC North next year, just one team that has now been determined to be the Ravens. They avoid the playoff team from that division, but have eight games against playoff teams, including two against division rival Philadelphia in the annual home and home series.

Dallas will host the 49ers and Jaguars, and travel to the Rams, Seahawks, Texans and Packers. The Cowboys finished with a .438 strength of schedule, worst in the NFC, and a .311 strength of victory, second worst overall and worst in the NFC. Their 2026 opponents finished 2025 with a 134-137-1 record.
