The Colorado Buffaloes lost three linebackers to the transfer portal this offseason and have struggled at the position under head coach Deion Sanders. However, on Day 2 of the transfer portal, the Buffs are addressing the problem.
Notably, Colorado has scheduled visits with multiple defensive players to address the exodus in the trenches. But they have "Coach Prime," and the Buffs are attempting to fill their empty spots at the linebacker position.

Among the first of the linebackers visiting from the portal is Bowling Green standout Gideon Lampron. The 6-foot linebacker tallied 119 tackles and 17.5 tackles for loss in 2025, earning him All-MAC conference first-team honors.
Lampron is set to visit Colorado tomorrow (Jan. 4) and has visits scheduled with UCF and Oklahoma, with offers from numerous schools.
The Ohio native is the No. 35 linebacker in the portal, according to 247Sports. The three-star transfer spent two years with the Dayton Flyers before transferring to Bowling Green and having a standout junior season.
He could fit well in Colorado's linebackers room, which lacks playmakers and leaders. He led Bowling Green with his 119 tackles, while the second-most had 80. If Colorado could sway him, it could be huge for the Buffaloes' defense.
