We have another name in the Arizona Cardinals' search to hire a new head coach. According to NFL Media's Tom Pelissero, the Cardinals have requested to interview Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Matt Nagy. He is scheduled to interview with the Cardinals on Friday after initial interviews with the Tennessee Titans and Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday.
Nagy has been coaching in the NFL since 2008 and has long been connected to Chiefs coach Andy Reid. From 2008-2012, he was a coaching intern, a coaching assistant and a quality control coach under Reid with the Philadelphia Eagles. He followed Reid to the Chiefs and was quarterbacks coach from 2012-2016. He became the offensive coordinator in 2017 and was hired by the Chicago Bears to be their head coach in 2018. He was in Chicago for four seasons, going 34-31 and making the playoffs twice, although his Bears teams were 0-2 in those two postseason appearances.

After he was let go following 2022, he returned to the Chiefs as quarterbacks coach and has been offensive coordinator since 2023.
