Two goalkeepers stood out by making the most saves during the first round of the CAN 2025, yet they couldn't prevent their respective teams from being eliminated.

Botswana's Goitseone Phoko and Zimbabwean Washington Arubi both racked up 20 saves apiece. However, neither of them managed to keep a single clean sheet.

Tanzania’s Zuberi Foba Masudi made 13 crucial saves, helping his country secure a historic qualification for the CAN Round of 16, with two hard-fought draws against Tunisia and Uganda.

The top five is rounded out by Mozambique’s Ernan (11 saves) and Zambia’s Willard Mwanza (10 saves).
