Monday kicked off big day for BYU in the transfer portal with the Cougs signing three offensive linemen from the transfer portal. Utah State’s Jr Sia, Washington’s Paki Finau, and Stanford’s Zak Yamauchi all had their signings announced by BYU. All three players are listed as 3-Star transfers by 247 Sports.
Jr Sia
Listed at 6-foot-5 and 325 pounds, Sia started 10 games at tackle for Utah State this past season. With Isaiah Jatta graduated, Sia will have a great chance to be one of BYU’s starting tackles this season along with Andrew Gentry. He’ll be a redshirt junior next season.

Paki Finau
Listed at 6-foot-5 and 310 pounds, Finau played in 12 games for Washington in 2025 and started 4 games at left guard. Finau will be able to immediately come in and compete for a starting spot at left or right guard. He’ll be a redshirt sophomore next season.
Zak Yamauchi
Listed at 6-foot-4 and 325 pounds, Yamauchi played in 8 games for Stanford in 2025 and started 3 games at guard as a true freshman. Yamauchi prepped at Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas) and served a two-year mission after high school. His 3 starts as a true freshman right off a mission are telling, and he’ll also come in and compete for one of the starting guard spots. He’ll be a true sophomore next season.
