Shuler Bentley was a record-setting quarterback for Byrnes from 2010-2013 and he’s now returning to the school as its offensive coordinator, 7 News Sports learned Tuesday night.
Byrnes High had yet to make the official announcement as of late Tuesday evening.

Bentley, whose father, Bobby, built the Rebels into a national power earlier this century, previously was offensive coordinator at Montgomery Catholic in Alabama.
As a player with the Rebels, he established state records with 178 career touchdowns as well as 71 touchdowns in a season and 10 in a game.
He was a two-time South Carolina Gatorade Player Of The Year and was on Rebels Big 16 title teams in 2011 and 2012.
He played collegiately at Old Dominion.
