Browns snap counts: Observations from the season finale vs Bengals

5 days ago 2

The Cleveland Browns' 2025 season ended with two consecutive wins, thanks to the team's effort in Sunday's 20-18 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

The starting lineup for the Browns looked much different on Sunday than it did when those two teams met for the first time this year all the way back in Week 1. Due to both injuries and personnel decisions, plenty of new faces got into the mix, and the Browns now head into an offseason with plenty of roster evaluation for general manager Andrew Berry and their yet-to-be-named new head coach to do.

Let's dive in to how the Browns' snap counts from the season finale in Cincinnati.

The 100%ers

  • Offense (5): OT Cam Robinson, OT KT Leveston, G Joel Bitonio, G Teven Jenkins, QB Shedeur Sanders

  • Defense (2): S Grant Delpit, S Ronnie Hickman

On offense, an unfortunate injury to center Luke Wypler prevented the Browns from getting one more full game out of their starting five along the offensive line. In what may been the final game of his impressive NFL career, guard Joel Bitonio played every offensive snap for Cleveland.

On defense, both starting safeties played 100% of the snaps, which has been familiar territory for both players this season.

Offense

Some normalcy returned to the Browns' receiver rotation in the finale; Jerry Jeudy (88%) led the group, followed by Cedric Tillman (77%) and Isaiah Bond (54%). Malachi Corley (42%) played a healthy amount of snaps, something that has become frequent as he's settled into a gadget role on offense during the late portion of the season, while Gage Larvadain played four offensive snaps.

Rookie fourth-round pick Dylan Sampson (50%) led the Browns' injury-riddled backfield in snaps, logging 10 carries for a season-high 32 rushing yards. Raheim Sanders (27%) and Trayveon Williams (21%) split the remainder of backfield snaps.

With the injury to Wypler, second-year guard Zak Zinter played 17 snaps (33%) against the Bengals.

Defense

Star defensive end Myles Garrett played nearly all of the Browns' defensive snaps for the third consecutive game, logging 96% of the snaps in his record-clinching performance. Alex Wright (63%) remained in the other primary defensive end spot, the role he's settled in to over the second half of this season, while Isaiah McGuire (26%) and Cameron Thomas (22%) rounded out the team's pass-rush rotation.

With star rookie Carson Schwesinger out, Devin Bush (82%) led all Browns linebackers in snaps, with Mohamoud Diabate (81%) right on his tail. Jerome Baker (40%) also saw a healthy share of defensive snaps.

Injuries caused a major shakeup in the Browns' secondary rotation. Starting cornerbacks Tyson Campbell and Denzel Ward played just 41% and 19% of the snaps, respectively, leading to Sam Webb leading all cornerbacks with 79% of the snaps in Cincinnati. D'Angelo Ross played 59% of the snaps, while Myles Harden played 35%.

Special teams

While logging the second-most snaps of any cornerback on the roster, Ross played a team-high 19 special teams snaps (79%) on Sunday, followed by Trayveon Williams with 17 snaps (71%). Safety Christopher Edmonds tied Williams' 71% mark, with tight end Blake Whiteheart being the only other Browns player to play over half of the team's special teams snaps (13 snaps, 54%).
