Browns rule Carson Schwesinger, Harold Fannin OUT vs. Bengals

1 week ago 2

The Cleveland Browns are gearing up for their season finale, capping off what has been yet another disappointing season, against the Cincinnati Bengals.

And to add even more disappointment to this NFL Week 17 game, the Browns will be doing so without two of their more exciting rookie players this season. Linebacker Carson Schwesinger, who is the leading favorite to win NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year and is a Pro Bowl alternate, will not play in this game after gutting out 60 minutes on a bad ankle against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He will be joined on the sidelines by fellow rookie and tight end Harold Fannin Jr., who is also a Pro Bowl alternate after racking up 731 yards and six catches as a rookie.

They have both been ruled out, with ankle and groin injuries, respectively, and their promising rookie seasons have come to an end. While the Browns have some pieces to continue to pick up, at least they know they have rookie cornerstones they can build around.

They are two of four players who were ruled out in this game. Here is the full Browns gameday injury report as they prepare to take on the Bengals on Sunday:
