Browns poach center Kingsley Eguakun off of Lions' practice squad

1 week ago 2

The Cleveland Browns have made yet another move along their offensive line.

Playing musical chairs, the Browns have signed center Kinglsey Eguakun off of the Detroit Lions' practice squad. This comes after the Browns signed another offensive lineman, Kendrick Green, off the Buffalo Bills' practice squad a week ago. Eguakun will now back up Luke Wypler on the depth chart as the Browns have one game left in their 2025 season.

An undrafted free agent from the 2024 NFL Draft, Eguakun has started two games after being elevated from the practice squad for the Lions. Eguakun is only 24 years old, so the Browns are likely hoping to sign him now to get another young body into training camp to help reshape the offensive line and compete for a job.

The starting center job looks like Wypler's to lose in 2026, but it appears the Browns are stacking up bodies to throw in a cage to fight it out.
