Broncos' (projected) depth chart going into NFL playoffs

4 days ago 1

The Denver Broncos have a bye this week after securing the No. 1 seed in the NFL playoffs, so the team has not released an updated depth chart. So we've put together our best guess for a projected depth chart going into the postseason.

The team made three changes to the roster on Monday, promoting quarterback Sam Ehlinger from the practice squad to the 53-man roster. Denver also waived offensive tackle Geron Christian and tight end Marcedes Lewis from the active roster. The moves continued on Tuesday when linebacker Karene Reid was activated from injured reserve and safety Tanner McCalister was signed to the practice squad.

Fans should note that while it comes straight from the team, the Broncos still call their depth chart an "unofficial" depth chart, so it should be taken with a grain of salt. With that in mind, here's a look at how players stack up going into the playoffs.

Denver also has Deuce Vaughn and Cody Schrader available on the practice squad.

  • LG: Ben Powers, Alex Palczewski

  • C: Alex Forsyth, Sam Mustipher

  • RG: Quinn Meinerz, Alex Palczewski

After splitting time with Alex Palczewski in his first two games back from injured reserve, Ben Powers reclaimed his starting job last week and played all 59 snaps on offense.

Defensive line (7)

  • DE: Zach Allen, Jordan Jackson

  • DT: D.J. Jones, Malcolm Roach

Elliss, Tillman and Robinson form quite the trio of rotational pass rushers behind starters Cooper and Bonitto.

Inside linebacker (5)

  • ILB: Alex Singleton, Jordan Turner, [Karene Reid]

Karene Reid was activated from IR on Tuesday. Denver also has Levelle Bailey available on the practice squad, giving them good depth at the position going into the playoffs.

Pat Surtain missed three games earlier this season with a pectoral injury, but he's back in the lineup now and has been elected to his fourth-straight Pro Bowl.

  • PR: Marvin Mims, Riley Moss
