Before we even get to the team's next kickoff, there will be a lot of Bills-related discussions and conversations to be had throughout the coming days.
With that, here are five storylines to watch for during the lead up to Bills (12-5) against the Jaguars (13-3) on Sunday at Everbank Stadium:
The Jags' streak

The Jaguars are no team for the Bills to overlook. The AFC South winners are the hottest team in the NFL heading into the postseason. It will be tough a tough, confident opponent awaiting Buffalo.

The No. 1 topic ahead of kickoff will not relate to the passing attacks led by the Jaguars' Trevor Lawrence and Bills' Josh Allen. The ground game is the focus.

Throughout the 2025 season, Buffalo's offense has always looked better when they've gotten running back James Cook involved successfully. Cook won the NFL's rushing title and the Bills were the No. 1 rushing offense in the league, putting up 159.6 yards per game.
On the flip side, the Jags allowed only 85.6 rushing yards per game, making them the NFL's best run defense.
This could be your determining factor..
Josh's foot

Allen will still play his part, of course.
The last time we saw him, Allen was hampered by a foot injury. Did time off in Week 18 help him and other starters that were nursing injuries?

Who is kicking?

The Bills are monitoring the health of kicker Matt Prater (quad). He played in Week 18 but did not finish the game. While something potentially overlooked, Buffalo needs someone they can rely on in the playoffs.
The national narrative

Throughout the week, the national narrative will be the Bills and Allen having this chance to make their first Super Bowl. There is no Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow or Lamar Jackson in the AFC postseason.
Get ready to hear about that narrative this week.
