According to NFL Network's Camaron Wolfe, the Cardinals put in a request to interview New England Patriots tight ends coach and passing game coordinator Thomas Brown.

The Patriots play in the first round of the playoffs this week, hosting the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, so Brown cannot interview until next week for the first time.

Brown has been coaching in the NFL since 2020. He began with the Los Angeles Rams as a running backs coach. He added assistant head coach to his title under Sean McVay in 2021 and moved to tight ends in 2022. He was the offensive coordinator in 2023 for the Carolina Panthers and then passing game coordinator, offensive coordinator and eventual interim head coach for the Chicago Bears in 2024 before joining Mike Vrabel on his staff in 2025.

He has head coaching experience with his interim stint in 2024 and offensive playcalling experience. He has worked with two very good coaches in McVay and Vrabel.

Who are other candidates to replace Jonathan Gannon?

There are four other known candidates, as of when this was published. The other four are:
