Indianapolis Colts' wide receiver Alec Pierce is set to be a free agent this offseason.

On Monday, Pierce was asked about his future with the team.

“I got great relationships here with this organization, with the people in this building, the city," Pierce said. "They’ve done so much for me so far, so I definitely would love to continue to be a part of this organization, and we’ll see where things go.”

When asked about free agency, Pierce added, "I don't know how this will all work out. But we'll see."

This season, Pierce eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark for the first time in his NFL career, finishing with 1,003 yards. He also hauled in six touchdown receptions, and for the second year in a row, he led the NFL in yards per catch at 21.3.

But beyond Pierce's big-play ability, his role within the Colts' offense expanded this season. As a more refined route runner, Pierce was asked to attack other levels of the field more often, and he did so in a variety of ways.

Bringing Pierce back should be a top priority for the Colts, but he has earned himself what should be a competitive market and a good-sized payday.

From the sounds of it, the Colts' ability to bring back Daniel Jones would help getting Pierce back as well.

“Oh, it would be huge," Pierce said of Jones returning. "That would definitely be a big thing for getting me back here is having him (Jones) here.”
