Life shouldn't be like this, but if you're like most, you've learned how unappreciative people can be. That reality shows up everywhere. It's evident in life and in football. It took time to iron out the Nick Sirianni debate, to fairly assess how much he has contributed to the Philadelphia Eagles' success.
How good is he really? That's what we asked ourselves. The verdict? He might be the perfect coach for such a demanding city and fan base.

Nick isn't perfect or above reproach. He isn't an Xs-and-Os guy, but he's certainly a motivator. His players would all run through a wall for him.
Nick Sirianni's impact on the Eagles' success deserves some reevaluation.
You've heard the question 20 times or more. You may have asked the question yourself. Who's most responsible for the Philadelphia Eagles' success over the past few seasons? Jalen Hurts? Howie Roseman? Can we all agree that Nick Sirianni's name needs to be inserted into the conversation?
Sirianni isn't the defensive tactician that Buddy Ryan was. He doesn't possess Andy Reid's offensive acumen. He and Coach Reid do have something in common, though. They're the only head coaches in franchise history to craft four consecutive seasons of 11 wins or more.
During his first four seasons, Coach Sirianni led his team to the Super Bowl twice. His team won in its most recent appearance. The first visit ended with Philadelphia falling four points short of victory. Had that not happened, he'd be 2-0 on football's grandest stage.

He has lost coordinators. He has a head-coaching tree now: Shane Steichen, Jonathan Gannon, and Kellen Moore. Each of his first five seasons has ended with a postseason berth. It's time to reshape the narrative.
Nick Sirianni isn't perfect, but there are a ton of head coaches who would swap their resume for his. Come on. What are we discussing? No one can fake it for that long.
