Rodrygo to Liverpool is a distinct possibility
It was reported on earlier this week by Fichajes that Real Madrid would consider an offer for Rodrygo if the Reds came in at around €90m, which it's claimed that Liverpool would be comfortable in doing.

And while other approaches for the Brazilian have often resulted in nothing, it was emphasised that this time, the interest 'has moved to a much more concrete phase'. We're now in more serious talks.
In addition to that news, however, it's now come out from Sport that Rodrygo doesn't just want to leave, but he's actually putting in a lot of work to make sure that he gets what he wants this time.
He currently doesn't have an agent, but two candidates are being considered, and his 'departure from Madrid will be, this time, effective by linking to a prestigious name', which puts the Reds firmly in the mix to get a deal done.
In addition, the report also claims: "If it were for Rodrygo, the change of scenery would already take place in this winter market, regardless of what may happen with Xabi Alonso... This scenario, however, seems impossible and after Mbappe's injury, even less so."

As such, the upcoming summer might be the opportunity that Liverpool have been waiting for, and when everything's in place for negotiations to take place, the club shouldn't hesitate in signing him.
The Brazilian winger is generally considered a 'world-class' asset, and his consistent attacking returns for Real Madrid over the years back up that feeling, with with 24-year-old having notched 15 goals and assists in each of the last four years, in spite of constantly being taken out of the side.
He might cost a significant chunk of money, but Liverpool haven't been tracking him for years without having knowledge of the kind of fee that he'll command. If he's available, it's a no-brainer.
