Wisconsin veteran offensive lineman Joe Brunner has entered the NCAA transfer portal, according to multiple reports.

The Milwaukee, Wisconsin, native departs after four years with the program. He originally joined as a four-star recruit in the class of 2022, ranked specifically as the No. 85 player, the No. 9 offensive tackle and the top player from Wisconsin in the class.

Brunner would appear in 39 games over four seasons with the Badgers. He was an integral part of the team's offensive line unit as a redshirt sophomore and junior, starting all 24 games over those two seasons. He's now in the portal with a final year of eligibility remaining.

Wisconsin is set to enter 2026 with new faces across its offensive line, with veterans Riley Mahlman (NFL draft), Jake Renfro (transfer portal) and Brunner (portal) all gone from the 2025 starting unit.

Wisconsin and new position coach Eric Mateos have already made several transfer moves at the position. Expect that work to continue through the remainder of the cycle.
