Will the Boston Celtics be buyers or sellers at the 2026 NBA trade deadline? By now it is pretty clear that the Celtics will be looking to make at least some sort of moves at the deadline, but whether it is a move to shed salary, add talent -- or both -- still remains to be seen.

Big man depth is perhaps the most important thing that Boston would be looking for if the right move is out there, and it is not inconceivable that the Celtics could also look to add a wing capable of pushing rim pressure for the team. And of course quite a few league analysts expect the front office to try to get the team out of the luxury tax to start resetting their repeater status.
