Ruben Amorim was named Manchester United coach in Nov. of 2024. Now? After a total of 63 matches and 31 points in 20 Premier League games, he's out.
So why was he fired -- AKA sacked -- by Man United? Maybe it has something to do with the latest quotes he delivered to reporters after a draw against Leeds that point to a clash with Jason Wilcox, the team's director of football.

Via ESPN: "I know that my name is not [Thomas] Tuchel, it's not [Antonio] Conte, it's not [Jose] Mourinho, but I'm the manager of Manchester United. And it's going to be like this for 18 months or when the board decided to change. I will do my job and every department, the scouting department, the sporting director, needs to do their job. I will do mine for 18 months and then we will watch."
He went on to talk about how he wouldn't quit before those 18 months are over, but it seems clear that claiming he's not just a coach may have been a part of all that.
