After taking care of business against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 18 on Sunday, the Los Angeles Rams' wild-card opponent is now locked in.

The Rams entered the week in the No. 6 spot in the wild-card standings, but they were able to move up one spot thanks to their win over the Cardinals and the San Francisco 49ers' loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
With the Rams finishing in the No. 5 seed, they draw the most favorable matchup of the NFC wild-card slate with a matchup against the Carolina Panthers.
Carolina backed into the playoffs thanks to some help from the Atlanta Falcons.
After the Panthers lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Saturday, the Panthers needed the Falcons to beat the New Orleans Saints, and that happened.
The Panthers have been very inconsistent all season long, as Carolina hasn't won back-to-back games since October, when they won three in a row.

Carolina and Los Angeles have squared off this season, with the Panthers beating the Rams in Week 13, 31-28.
Not ideal, but that doesn't take away from the fact that the Panthers were the best possible matchup for Los Angeles. The other possible options were the Chicago Bears and Philadelphia Eagles.
The date and time for this wild-card matchup has yet to be announced.
