Only so many players across NFL history can say they've scored a touchdown in the playoffs. Add Frank Crum to the list.

The offensive lineman may not be known to many fans across the league, but he was in the spotlight on Saturday. As the Denver Broncos' took a first-half lead against the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Divisional Round, it wasn't Bo Nix, Courtland Sutton or any running back finding the end zone for Denver. It was Crum.

After coming in as an eligible receiver, Crum hauled in an easy pass from Nix to give the Broncos a 10-7 lead.

Here's a look at Crum's playoff touchdown against the Bills, and more to know about the 325-pound offensive lineman.

Frank Crum touchdown

After getting a field goal on their opening drive, then watching Josh Allen lead a touchdown drive with an end-zone pass to Mecole Hardman in Saturday's playoff matchup, the Broncos moved down the field and into the red zone.

An 11-yard scramble from Nix set up a 3rd & 1 from Bills' 7-yard line. Rather than run the ball to pick up a potential easy first down, Sean Payton got creative.

Crum came in as an eligible receiver — which can sometimes just be a ploy to distract the defense — but this time, it was for a reason. Crum blocked his man for a moment, Nix rolled to his right, then the offensive lineman had a ton of room to break free and make an easy grab.

Crum had room to get into the end zone, taking a hit just as he crossed the goal line for Denver's first touchdown of the 2026 playoffs.

Payton's trick play fooled the Bills defense to perfection.

Who is Frank Crum?

Frank Crum is a second-year offensive tackle for the Broncos. He wears No. 73 for Denver and stands at 6-foot-7 and 315 pounds, per his roster page.

Crum, who rocks some long, blonde locks on the gridiron, played for Wyoming in college. Both his father, Gary Crum, and his grandfather, Earl Crum, also played for the Cowboys in college.

In his time at Wyoming, Frank Crum was named to the Third-team All-Mountain West in 2022 and the First-team All-Mountain West in 2023. Crum had the second-fastest 40-yard dash among offensive linemen at the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine, but he still went undrafted.

Crum signed with the Broncos in May 2024, also selected by the UFL's Birmingham Stallions but opting to remain in the NFL. The offensive lineman made Denver's 2024 roster. To date, he has appeared in 17 games for Denver over two seasons, including two starts.

In Week 11 of the 2025 against the Chiefs, Crum blocked an extra-point attempt. Now, as of Saturday, he has scored a touchdown.

Frank Crum is from Laramie, Wyoming. He attended Laramie High School, where he played football and basketball.

Despite being a first-team all-conference offensive lineman, Crum was a zero-star recruit coming out of high school before committing to play at Wyoming.
