After a down year following their latest trip to the Super Bowl, the San Francisco 49ers are back in the playoffs.

A combination of Mac Jones and Brock Purdy at quarterback this season has powered a top-10 offense and the team to at least 12 wins for the third time in the last four seasons.

Week 1: Detroit Lions wide receiver Isaac TeSlaa (18) makes a catch for a touchdown against the Green Bay Packers during the fourth quarter at Lambeau Field. The play was originally ruled an incomplete pass, but the call was overturned. Despite TeSlaa's effort, the Packers won the game 27-13.

Who will 49ers play in playoffs?

The 49ers are set to play the Philadelphia Eagles in the wild-card round. This comes after the Los Angeles Rams' win over the Arizona Cardinals pushed the 49ers down to the No. 6 overall seed, denying San Francisco the No. 5 seed and a rematch of its Week 12 "Monday Night Football" game against the Carolina Panthers.

The Eagles earned the No. 3 seed after losing 24-17 against the Washington Commanders while resting their starters. Philadelphia could have earned the No. 2 seed with a win, as the Chicago Bears lost 19-16 to the Detroit Lions, but failed to do so with Tanner McKee starting at quarterback.
