It was a painful night in Lincoln for Michigan State basketball, as the Spartans fell to Nebraska by just two points in a road loss to the undefeated Cornhuskers. It was a frustrating loss to watch, as it felt like MSU has plenty of chances to win despite a very sloppy, turnover-filled game, but yet another key turnover in one of their final possessions sealed the loss.
After the game, Tom Izzo addressed the media about the loss, and you can see what he had to say below:
"The environment was one of the best I've seen in a lot of years anywhere in the Big Ten."
"Where in the hell do I start? Happy for Fred Hoiberg."
"I was really disappointed in maybe... it didn't look like we had the toughness... The toughest team won, and we didn't make big plays down the stretch."
