What is the Packers' hypothetical playoff path to Super Bowl LX?

4 days ago 2

The NFC playoff field is officially set, and now the Green Bay Packers know their first-round opponent and what a run to Super Bowl LX would look like as the No. 7 seed.

Do the Packers -- who have lost four straight games entering the postseason -- have a magic run in store, or will the once promising season officially end next week at Soldier Field? A month ago, the Packers were one of the favorites in the NFC. Now, securing a trip to Super Bowl LX will require winning three straight games away from home.

As the seventh seed, the Packers will open the postseason by going on the road to play the Chicago Bears, who won the NFC North and secured the No. 2 seed despite losing back-to-back games to end the season. The two teams split the season series in 2025, with both teams winning thrilling games at home.

If the Packers beat the Bears, a road trip to play the top seeded Seattle Seahawks would await in the NFC Divisional Round. From there, the Packers could play one of four teams on the road in the NFC Championship Game. Super Bowl LX will be played at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara on Sunday, Feb. 8.

NFC Wild Card Round matchups

  • No. 2 Chicago Bears (11-6) vs. No. 7 Green Bay Packers (9-7-1)

  • Bye: No. 1 Seattle Seahawks (13-4)

The Packers went 1-1 against the Bears and lost to the Eagles and Panthers at home during the regular season. Matt LaFleur's team did not face the Seahawks, Rams or 49ers.

The Packers haven't faced the Bears in the playoffs since the 2010 season, when Green Bay won the NFC Championship Game at Soldier Field and later went on to win Super Bowl XLV.
